Created to give you the perfect gift for any occasion, our Just Because Collection of scented candles, gorgeous gift boxes and tea lights, feature our signature colourful and sparkly home fragrances, and come in a vessel containing meaningful or fun messages for every occasion. Our Just Because Collection is guaranteed to give you the gift of joy ' make someone smile with the perfect home fragrance gift. Now' which occasion will you buy for first?'

We also have our Tea Lights Threes to match! In the same vein as our existing Tea Light boxes, we have brought this innovative gift right up to date with a gloriously, colourful design. Both are a fabulous addition to our ever-expanding range of products.

The elegance range are in a gold tin, wonderfully festive but with a sophisticated nod. Best Kept Secrets Celebrates Huge Growth with Recognition at The Gift of the Year Awards 

As Best Kept Secrets, a family-owned British home fragrance brand, celebrates its 28th year, it is proud to announce its win in the Home Fragrance category of the prestigious Gift of the Year Awards 2024 for its best-selling Just Because collection. Under the visionary leadership of Managing Director Vanessa Curry, the brand has seen remarkable growth over the past two years.  

Receiving the accolade at a glittering awards celebration on 16th May, Vanessa and her dedicated team celebrated this fantastic industry-wide recognition. The Royal Lancaster Hotel hosted the black-tie Gift Of The Year awards ceremony which saw retailers, suppliers and industry experts gather together to celebrate the year’s best gifts. Winners were crowned across 20 highly competitive gifting categories which showcase a cross section of the industry’s most innovative, creative, and exciting new to the market product. Speaking of her category win, Managing Director Vanessa Curry said, “This is such an honour, and I am so proud of our company, and grateful to all the people who work so hard for us. It really is a family business, and we care so much about delivering joy and quality for our customers. To be recognised amongst so many incredible giftware brands is incredible.” 

Founded 28 years ago and now helmed by Vanessa Curry, who took over from her father in 2018, Best Kept Secrets has become a national treasure in the home fragrance and gifting industry. Known for its joy-infused products, the brand is renowned for its vibrant, fragrant, and sustainably made collections, all crafted with an unmistakable sparkle that has become their trademark. 

Operating from their Morpeth-based workshop, Best Kept Secrets prides itself on its hand-poured, locally manufactured products that not only embrace but celebrate British craftsmanship. "Our commitment to sustainability is at the core of every decision we make," says Vanessa Curry. The company’s dedication to using locally sourced supplies and maintaining a low carbon footprint reflects its strong community ties and commitment to environmental stewardship. 

The Just Because Collection, inspired by the concept of celebrating special moments without extravagance, has quickly become a customer favourite, with key trade customers spanning card shops, gift retail, garden centres, florists, and online marketplaces. This collection, featuring the Three Lite Boxes among others, offers quality and affordable gifting, priced under £10. These products stand out with their colourful, recyclable vessels and a selection of the brand’s best-selling scents and featuring meaningful sentiments for all occasions.  

The brand’s success is evidenced by its recent nominations in the Gift of the Year 2024 awards, where it has made a significant mark across several categories including Home Fragrance, My Gift of All Time, and Under £15 for the Just Because Collection, and in the Ethical and Sustainable category for their "Our Fragrant World" collection. 

This latter collection, a collaboration with designer Nicky Dawson, features candles made from renewable, plant-based waxes, showcasing Best Kept Secrets’ ongoing efforts to innovate sustainably. "We are overjoyed to be recognised for our efforts in sustainability and affordability, which are key to our business ethos," Vanessa adds. 

With an eye towards the future, Best Kept Secrets continues to innovate. Slated for 2024 are expansions in the Just Because Collection as well as the growth of the Luminescence Collection, which launched at the Spring Fair in February, and offers luxury at an affordable price with its trending new vessel designs. The upcoming Harrogate Home & Gift show will see the debut of exciting new fragrances like Marshmallow and Green Pistachio, and Italian Cypress and Neroli. 

"Our products are designed to bring joy and beauty into homes without the hefty price tag," Vanessa explains. The company is also set to release new products within the Just Because line, including candle tins and wax melts made from 80% recycled materials, reaffirming their commitment to environmental consciousness. 

The spirit at Best Kept Secrets is collaborative and familial. Most of the team members have been with the company since Vanessa took the helm seven years ago, and her daughter and husband are also key members of the team. "It’s a wonderful feeling to see the impact our products have, not just locally but across the country," says Vanessa, reflecting on the lines of boxes ready for dispatch at the end of each day, each destined to add a little more joy and fragrance to someone’s life.
