Lime Tree Design

Having started as a kitchen table business, Lime Tree Design has grown from strength to strength driven by our love of vintage jewellery, pattern, colour and above all beautiful textiles. We don't believe in mass consumption so we make in small batches in order to avoid over production and waste. We are advocates of slow fashion: our textiles are classic designs made to be enjoyed for many seasons.
We still work with a small team in our studio in our village. Our jewellery designs are all created by using traditional methods by hand in our studio and then cast in sterling silver and gold vermeil in Birmingham's world famous jewellery quarter.
Our textile designs are inspired by Jaipur's blockprint tradition and our original prints are used in our loungewear collection including Pyjamas, Kimonos, shorts, tunics and new for this show a dress.
Our love of classic English design led us to use Liberty Tana LawnTM in our lavender sachet range and also as hankies and kimonos. A labour of love, our lavender sachets continue to be hand sewn in our Nottinghamshire village by our community of skilled craftspeople. Our hankies and bandana scarves are produced in the UK by a social enterprise factory who train young people. We are very proud to be supporting this homegrown talent in a small way contributing to the continuation of British manufacturing skills.
