I’ve had a thing for ceramics since I was a kid – always seeking out treasures in charity shops and car boots. When I (finally) went off to study Ceramic Design it was the small intricate work where I felt most at home and led to the development of my first jewellery collection in 2019.

Little Lovers (my childhood nickname) is inspired by vintage shapes, colours and the natural environment around my Yorkshire Studio. I design and hand craft small batches in fine porcelain clay. Pieces are kiln fired up to 1245 degrees, making them hardwearing and strong. Using 14ct filled gold and 925 sterling silver wire, I also construct every earring hook and many of the necklace chains.

Beyond being a creative outlet, my ambition is for Little Lovers to be sustainable, for lovers of handmade work that care about the environment. Porcelain is a natural clay and there’s no plastic in my designs or production. I use 100% green energy when firing my kiln and there is virtually no wasted clay – everything is reclaimed and used again.

My aim is to make different, interesting pieces that will be treasured for years to come.
