We are Musker-Sherwood Designs. An independent, Yorkshire based greeting card company making crafty, creative cards with a lot of love and a strong focus on ethics.

Our Ethics

From the very beginning we knew that we wanted to make cards that are sustainable and ethical. We are lucky to have a number of charity shops local to us who we work with to salvage buttons, beads and wool that might otherwise end up in landfill, turning them into creative cards that people love.

It's not just the materials we use to decorate the cards with either, as the card and envelopes also come from a UK paper mill and are FSC certified.

Our cards are only wrapped by request, and always with biodegradable bags.

The Practical Stuff

Our non-knitted designs cost £1.45 wholesale and retail at £3.50. Our knitted designs take a little extra work and therefore cost £1.90 wholesale and retail at £3.95.

We don't ask for a minimum order for your first order. After that we ask for a minimum of 75 cards to cover postage (we don't charge P&P). You can order any number of each design from 3 upwards. Our turnaround time for fulfilling orders is two weeks, although we can usually accommodate special requests. 

We always offer exclusivity to our stockists, meaning no other shops will stock our cards within 1 mile radius of any of your shops.

You may request biodegradable packaging at no extra cost. All cards come with matching ivory envelopes and are blank inside.

Our Story

For as long as she could hold a pen, Jo had always made her own cards for all her friends and family. Upcycled and made from crafting leftovers, she had never thought about taking her love of creating special cards for special people any further than that.

That was until Greg received a diagnosis of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome back in 2018, finding himself housebound and unable to work.

After several failed attempts back into the world of work, crafting Jo’s designs was something Greg could do flexibly and from home. As his health improved it turned out selling those designs and running the business is what Greg loved to do.

Musker-Sherwood Designs was Greg’s entry back into the world of work, doing something he loves and doing something good for the planet too; all our cards are made using reclaimed, ethically sourced materials that support local causes and never use single-use plastic. You can read more about our ethics below.

Since we set out selling a handful of designs to our local card shop down the road, we have grown our range to over 100 designs and now sell to shops nationwide. Our greetings cards have a remarkable story behind them, and we believe it shows!
