Heyland & Whittle Cold Process Soap
One of the biggest drivers in the beauty, bath and body sector right now is consumers becoming far more ingredient-conscious and intentional with their purchases. People are looking for products that feel authentic, handmade and genuinely beneficial, rather than overly mass-produced.

We’re also seeing strong growth in “everyday affordable luxury” - products that elevate simple daily rituals such as bathing, handcare and home pampering, without feeling unattainable. That’s particularly relevant in gifting, where customers want products that feel thoughtful, indulgent and beautifully made.

For Heyland & Whittle, this shift plays directly into the strengths of the brand. Our cold-processed soaps continue to resonate strongly because they represent a more traditional way of making soap, using high-quality ingredients such as coconut oil, shea butter, essential oils and natural exfoliants. Consumers increasingly appreciate products with heritage, craftsmanship and transparency behind them.

Sustainability also continues to influence purchasing decisions, especially within independent retail. Customers are looking more closely at packaging, ingredient sourcing and longevity of products, and retailers are responding by curating ranges that align with those values.

As we move towards Autumn/Winter, we expect continued demand for comforting fragrances, self-care gifting and products that create a sense of wellbeing and ritual at home. Beautifully presented bath and body products remain an important gifting category because they sit within the mix of practicality, indulgence and affordable luxury.
