A Dogs Life - Charity Gift Book
)
he Little Dog Laughed is delighted to announce that their category award-winning Gift of the Year 2024 A Dog's Life gift book has so far raised a lovely £22,257.76 for the dog welfare charity Dogs Trust.
The book features fifty delightfully illustrated true tales of Dogs Trust adopted dogs living their best lives. A proven good seller and heartwarming gift for dog lovers. Just remember to add a pack of pocket tissues!
They say 'Money raised so far ' because the book is back! When asked, retailers who ordered from the first launch universally replied that they'd stock it again.
The initial five thousand copies sold out in one Christmas season from just eighty outlets and the same retailers agreed that as a centre piece, the book significantly boosted sales of the other dog-themed gift lines.
Dogs Trust is the UK's largest dog welfare charity and The Little Dog Laughed Director Gavin Smith said of the collaboration "We are very happy to be renewing our partnership with Dogs Trust and hope to double our fund-raising total for a cause that is at the heart of everything our company does. Having seen first hand the incredible work of this charity, from rehoming and rehabilitation to a free advice helpline for dog behavioural issues, to supporting families fleeing domestic violence who need foster care for their pet. Dogs Trust is an extra special charity made up of amazing people all working for the animals that mean so much to so many " Company creative Anna Danielle is excited for the second reprint. Thinking about the book project Anna reflected on the huge amount of work that snaffled seventeen consecutive weekends and all the days in-between. She said “I was completely drained when I finished it and never actually opened the book in its completed hard back form. It had sold out before I was ready to face it!
Anna continued “But I'm eager to see how it displays alongside our two new Gift of the Year 2025 award-nominated pet lines. The new colour-ways for our highly commended dog walking bags and treat tins, which also feature some of the Dogs Trust muses, complete the project for me. The book reviews were so positive I’m finally looking forward to reading it!. The range is colourful, practical, affordable, and also genuine, and heartfelt. I think we've ticked all the boxes for a great pet lovers gift range that also raises funds for dogs in need ".
