Playful new photo art brand, Ornament Art, to show at 65th Harrogate Home and Gift Festival
)
Ornament Art, a husband-and-wife team, who launched their photo art print and greetings card brand in October 2024 will be exhibiting at their debut Home and Gift festival as it celebrates its 65th year. The couple, Jo and David Short, create together by photographing pieces from the collection of ornaments, antiques and knick-knacks that fill their home and studio space. They reimagine these mixing vintage vibes with modern humour, combining colours that complement or clash resulting in that distinct Ornament Art style. Their retro subjects inspire feelings of warmth and nostalgia, and their playful messages raise a smile. They aspire to brighten walls with their prints and deliver “Art in an envelope”, greetings cards people want to enjoy beyond the occasion and frame for walls, use as bookmarks or simply keep because they are cool.
Less than a year after launching the brand attended its first trade show in the Springboard section of PG Live and after a successful introduction to the industry joins The Home and Gift buyers’ festival in Harrogate this July. In a market dominated by illustrated card design newcomers Ornament Arts’ unique photographic approach gives a point of difference with a strong, contemporary appeal.
The brand offers a collection of framed and unframed photo art prints A5-A1 and bold, bright, original cards across it’s 8 ranges. The pair are continually developing designs with plans for more newness to be unveiled at the show. They can be found in Hall B, stand B-C48.
