MuseARTa is a German company distributing in the most celebrated museums all over the world top-quality socks dedicated to works of art of the greatest artists of all times.
Andreas Hüttenhölscher, founder and managing director of MuseARTa GmbH, came up with the idea of having socks produced for museums, at first as developments for certain exhibitions exclusive for the respective museum within existing distribution partnerships.
First co-operations were quickly established with world-famous museums - such as the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam - but the suppliers were never as fast as desired. So, he took control and decided to create an own brand, covering the whole world of art: in October 2019 MuseARTa was born!
Our first exhibition was in January 2020 in Paris, next step was expanding within Europe and to Japan, since May 2022 we also distribute in the US and are working on our expansion to Korea, Australia and Canada.
Today we have got about 1,000 museums on board, offering the broadest selection of art on socks in the world. MuseARTa is also available in the best luxury department stores in Europe, bookstores, and concept stores.
MuseARTa is one of the largest collections of art on textiles in the world.
We firmly believe in the power of art and beauty applied in everyday life, but without trivializing the value of art:
consequently, we have set ourselves the goal of achieving the best possible quality, to be able to offer timeless products that will last throughout the years, the absolute opposite of fast fashion, just like the artwork they represent.
Our socks are all made in Europe on high quality Italian machines with the best possible yarns.
The machines knit with 200 needles for the highest resolution to be able to offer the closest reproduction of the initial artwork.
With our socks there is something for everyone’s taste - with over 450 different motifs, we represent works of art from the most important eras and by the greatest artists of all time.
