They’ve been a fantastic seller for several years now, particularly during the golden quarter, and Miss Milly has continued to add to its collection of magnetic brooches.
For the coming season, it is using new materials in the form of flowers made with silk thread and also crumbles of tiny semi-precious gemstones. And the UK brand has also introduced a new textured and graduated paint surface to some brooch and jewellery designs.
“The type of jewellery we offer doesn’t change much and so the innovation has to come from the materials we use and how we put pieces together,” says Sarah Watmore, founder and owner of Miss Milly. “Neither silk nor semi-precious stones are new but they are a development for us in using them for the magnetic brooches. And the graduated, textured hand-painted surfaces also add a striking new dimension.”
The new brooches and jewellery will be launched at Home & Gift in Harrogate and should be available online at the same time.
