Behind the Brand Halilit


We are excited to invite Halilit to take part in our new blog initiative Behind the Brand so you can find out more about their latest ranges and what they have planned for the year ahead.

Introduction about your brand

Halilit has been a key supplier to the toy, nursery and gift industry for over 30 years, being a trusted specialist in providing innovative as well as classic baby, toddler and pre-school brands. Our products are hand picked for their developmental values in addition to child appeal, offering high quality products that encompass both impulse and gifting price points. We are proud to represent much-loved brands such as the parents’ favourite - Halilit Music - alongside other well-respected brands such as Edushape, Taf Toys, Battat, Doron Layeled and Interstar.


What are your top products this year/set for 2020?

We are delighted to be bringing lots of fresh products to the show this year to sit alongside consistent favourites such as the Halilit Baby’s First Birthday Band. Our nursery gifting brand Taf Toys launch their gorgeous Koala Daydream Collection for 2019 following on from their popular Mini Moon and North Pole collections, and with price points ideal for gifting we are expecting this to be a big hit for Autumn Winter. The new range includes the Kimmy Koala Tummy Time book, All Around Me Gym, Kimmy Koala and Scotty Snail rattles and much more, all supported with stylish packaging and assets for retailers to use. Sensory play specialists Edushape also have some innovative products to add to their early years offering including Geostackers, Thread-O-Ball and brand-new sensory shapes – Wobbles, Tickles, and the Sensory Shapes & Balls pack, which we already seeing fantastic interest on given the ever-growing trend for sensory and developmental products.

Could you tell us about your latest collections/ranges?

This year we are excited to introduce the gorgeous Koala Daydream collection from Taf Toys, alongside a fresh new look for the Edushape brand with bright packaging full of lifestyle imagery that ‘pops’ off the shelf. Our newest products are beautifully designed to appeal to both parents and babies and focus on sensory development and early skills acquirement. Taf Toys are presenting innovative products such as the Kimmy Koala Tummy Time Book, a double-sided flip book with crinkling textures, high and low contrast colours, teethers and more to encourage little ones’ growth and sensory exploration. Edushape’s ranges are constantly evolving and with the addition of impulse purchase CDU items such as Mighty Fliers, Textured Mini Balls and Sensofun Pals, the 2019 collection offers sensory and developmental toys for all.

Any bif trends you've spotted for 2020/2021?

Whilst we’ve always seen a consistent demand for our early educational products, we’re finding that categories which may have historically sat in the domain of nurseries and pre-schools such as sensory and STEM are becoming far more desirable and sought after in the home. In contrast to all the technology available for children, many parents seem to be steering away from this and looking for wholesome toys that encourage early skills and understanding. Therefore we’re seeing increased demand for ranges such as Taf Toys and Edushape which offer multiple benefits for inquisitive developing minds.


What makes your company stand out from the rest?

We like to think we bring something different to Home & Gift – high quality and beautifully designed baby and preschool toys, the perfect addition to gift shops, garden centres and more. We are a friendly bunch and like to think that we bring a personal touch when suggesting products to new customers. We know that no two retailers are alike and enjoy taking time to talk to and understand our customers’ particular needs enabling us to offer bespoke recommendations. From our baby gifting range Taf Toys through to our flagship brand, the well-established Halilit music, and sensory heroes Edushape, we are sure there’s something for everybody.


What can we expect from you at Home & Gift 2019?

We’ll be in DP2 on stand 74 this year, showcasing our brand-new ranges with show offers and more. We’ve noticed that baby and pre-school toys are becoming more sought after by gift retailers and so are looking forward to using our experience of supplying to a wide variety of retail establishments to hopefully show some new customers how the right products could really work for them. Our ranges cover a wide variety of play and developmental needs, and with a range of price points from impulse to gifting we’re confident that visitors to the show will find themselves pleasantly surprised by what we have to offer.
