Behind the Brand Hill Interior
Our new campaign Behind the Brand, drawing on the energy and talent of our brands who will be on show at Home and Gift 2019!
We are excited to invite Hill Interior to take part in our new blog initiative Behind the Brand so you can find out more about their latest ranges and what they have planned for the year ahead.
With roots firmly based in North Yorkshire, the family-based business has blossomed, now meeting the demands and needs of stockists both nationally and internationally. Backed by a wonderful team, this company supplies an extensive collection whilst consistently developing in unprecedented style and seeking the latest trends through their unique and original product range.
Jumping to a more industrial look, two of our top products include our adjustable Bar Bistro Table and the adjustable Tractor Seat. Made from natural materials including metal and wood, these are an ideal addition to a bar, venue or any home that fancies an injection of industrial chic. In addition to these, display units have increased massively in terms of our top products. Items including the industrial display units and hanging display cubes are at the top of the list, although display pieces are an essential for retail shops, it doesn’t mean you have to skimp on style.
Moving onto contemporary and ever popular products, we have the brand-new velvet seating selection. Compromising of vibrant and opulently coloured teacup chairs including burnt orange and bold navy along with the Darcy three-seater sofa, these pieces are the statement necessities in an interior space.
Finally, beautiful furniture demands beautiful accessories. You can’t go wrong with our Spotlight Desk Lamps, influence has been taken from an old-fashioned spotlight to create these unique lighting pieces. Additionally, we have recently increased our art collection expanding into stunning abstract pieces featuring glamorous colours of grey, silver, blue, black and a gold frame, essential pieces to stay on trend throughout this year and next.

The past is creeping back in a stylish way, from fringing to vintage to old features. The “less is more” trend has enjoyed the limelight for many years, but 2020 is bringing the “more is more, less is a bore” style back. Vibrant colour combinations, flirty accessories and flamboyant elements encompass this look. Fringing and pom poms are sure to be swishing into interiors everywhere making its way onto curtains, cushions, lamp shades and even furniture! With vintage retracing its footsteps, with a modern twist, we think this could be the 2020 style of the year. However, minimalism will still be a widely incorporated look for interior decors particularly with younger generations.
2020 is also set to be a big one for floral and sees a noticeable change in style transforming from bloom heavy and introducing more detailed floral content. Dark and opulent interiors with plush velvets and luxury golds demand luscious blooms. However, there has always been an enduring love and resurfacing elements of nature-based florals. From pure textures to local seasonality and foraged components, the coming year is all about embracing the goods that nature gives. Incorporating moss, branches, bold, statement colours and minerals will be the identifying style for many arrangements.
As for 2021, we will see a combination of the future and nature. Technology and the outdoors. A brilliant opposition to one another that seems to work perfectly together. Designers will be creating unusual pieces based on new raw materials whilst encompassing a balanced approach of nature and technology for a timelessly modern look.

We are consistently updating our product range ensuring we source the best products on the market making them available to our customers whilst constantly being aware of the fast-moving changes in the interiors world and ensuring collections are on trend. Customers are at the heart of everything we do, utilising our 40+ years of knowledge and experience in the industry, we aim to inject a new lease of life into interiors everywhere. Hill Interiors is essentially here to provide worldwide interior trends whilst paving the way through style, quality and design.

- Could you tell us about your latest collections/ranges?
- Live Edge – Made from Indian acacia wood full of character, this range allows you to bring a feel of the outdoors in whilst creating an earthy, minimalist look. Each piece is complete with a metal cross leg design or frame complementing the rustic design of the wood. The edging has been left natural to create a live edge feature which adds to the handmade beauty and authenticity of these products. A unique collection including tables, shelving units and chopping boards too.
- Hudson – Bring a handsome look into any interior with the Hudson range. The combination of charcoal grey coated steel and antique brass detailing oozes a masculine style which has derived inspiration from a strong industrial look. Featuring clean and minimalist designs complements the darker choice of finish sure to make a statement in the corner of any living space. Four versatile pieces create this range including a cabinet, merchant chest and wall locker.
- Byland – A rustic, authentic and handmade feel is derived from this quaint new range. Featuring pine construction, individual planks are used to create these products producing a homely, worn vibe. The bases are lightly brushed with a moody, warm and timeless grey hue allowing the grain of the wood to naturally be visible, this is complemented with the natural pine top bringing the whole look together. With simple, clean lines, an organic feel is created and each piece is finished with silver handles.
- Brooklyn – Designed with modern life in mind, the Brooklyn range provides welcome storage pieces featuring five chests of drawers varying in size. Made from pine, this range is strong, sturdy and ideal for family homes with multiple, deep drawers and pull handles ideal for utility or kid’s rooms. The wood has been left with a natural finish which gives a subtly rustic look, this style will complement many décor schemes. The drawers reflect a crate style which gives an individual look to the pieces.
