Behind the Brand My Doris

Welcome to our new series of Behind the Brand! On this week's edition we are excited to invite My Doris to take part in our new blog initiative so you can find out more about their latest ranges and what they have planned for the year ahead. 
 
Introduction to your brand

My Doris sources unique, well designed beautifully made jewellery and accessories from around the world.  My Doris’ passion is about searching out and working with artisans, designers and craftspeople from the four corners of the planet, weeding out the ordinary and showcasing the extraordinary.

What are your top products this year/set for 2020?

Statement earrings will still play a big part in our collection, very much the signature of ‘My Doris’. Our Buffalo Horn collection is becoming ever popular, featuring on 90% of buyer’s order, well priced, ethically produced and effortlessly stylish. Woven baskets for have been a big seller too, we worked together to create interesting designs and great value.

Could you tell us about your latest collections/ranges?

Our range continues to grow each season and we will include new artisan made leather bags in pop colours, stunning new handwoven new style silk velvet bags from Uzbekistan and Nepalese cashmere scarves. We are working with a fantastic new supplier from Delhi, sourced on one of our buying trips, we have selected a line of beautiful, delicate gold necklaces with fine trims, tassels and stylish adornments.

Any big trends you've spotted for 2020/21?

A move to handmade products is a key trend for 2020/21.  A focus on the preserving and showcasing artisan skills, celebrating the imperfect nature of thigs are not mass produced. 

What makes your company stand out from the rest?

Our commitment to creating long term trading partnerships with small scale producers across the world, preserving traditional artisan skills and our passion to bringing on-trend, beautifully crafted products to the market. We invest in travelling to source or collections directly from our suppliers, building a unique and trusting relationship with them which enables us to create our eclectic product range. 

What can we expect from you at Home & Gift 2019?

We pride ourselves in creating a statement with our stand, sourcing wallpaper and unique display units to create the ‘My Doris’ look. We love colour, bold statement jewellery and eye catching bags, we always offer something WOW and unique. –and always a warm and friendly welcome at our stand at Harrogate!
