Laura Perryman
Colour, Material and Trend Designer ,

Anticipating what’s next is imperative for any company to stay ahead when working in industries where aesthetics and tactility is the first thing that consumers engage with.

Laura has 12 years experience as a colour and materials designer and a trend forecaster. Her ethos is that colour and aesthetics should be innovative, well considered but above all purposeful.

“A subtle difference in surface texture or a shift in colour has huge impact on the senses. The ability to identify and harness colour, material and finish is imperative to experience.”

Gathering inspiration from emerging design, new materials, consumer insights, Laura is a creative thinker, in the field of colour, materials and design innovation.

Working with companies she consults and helps navigate future opportunities as well as creating tangible and on trend design solutions. She has brought this specialist knowledge and approach into play for brands as diverse and forward thinking as Habitat, Nokia, 3M, DuPont, Sainsbury’s, Speedo, Antron Carpets, Panasonic Europe, Haier, Homebase, Comex, Post-It, HP, Arrival and trend forecasting agencies including WGSN, Stylus and Beautystreams.

She set up Colour of Saying in 2016 to create forward thinking colour and material design insights and experiences for brands connecting her expertise in trend forecasting, materials, product design and art direction.
